SEWREC has been offering ‘diversity’ training since 1997.
Our training ethos is based upon understanding the reasons and principles behind the notions of 'diversity’, 'equity' and 'equality' rather than learning 'the rules'. This in turn is based upon understanding the impact of discrimination and the ways in which apparently equal treatment can result in unequal outcomes. In SEWREC workshops we challenge perceptions and explore solutions together. Our workshops are fun, but the emphasis upon exploration makes them hard work too.
We offer a range of workshops, which are regularly reviewed, but which can be tailored to the needs of your staff, volunteers, members or clients.
More recently SEWREC has been working with communities to develop and conduct their own training and workshops.
